Artists Unveil New Mural at Spring Valley

Members of the Hoffman Estates Art League will hold a reception to introduce a new nature mural created by Club members at the Schaumburg Park District’s Spring Valley Nature Center on Saturday, July 26 from 3-5p.m. The 30-foot long mural portrays northern Illinois’ original prairie landscape and has been permanently installed in the Nature Center library. Club members volunteered their time to create the mural over several weeks this past spring. The reception is free, open to the public, and will include light refreshments. The mural can be viewed at the Nature Center every day of the week from 9am-5pm. Spring Valley is located at 1111 E. Schaumburg Rd. For more information, please call (847) 985-2100.

In lieu of  the June meeting (Thursday, June 5th, ) 

The meeting has been changed to a Plein Air painting session.  We will meet:

• Sunday, June 8th around 10AM at Weathersfield Lake.  This is the pond next to Schaumburg High School.  (Schaumburg & Salem Rds.  Less than 1 mile W of Roselle.)   It has the pond, a gazebo, a formal garden and paddle boats. Map and Directions here.
