My
eye and heart were trained in Europe and America by the work
of (mind your toes) Cimabue, Giotto, Angelico, Botticelli,
Titian, Tintoretto, Caravaggio, Bosch, Hals, Baburen,
Rembrandt, Rubens, Vermeer, Mondrian, van Eyck, Bruegel,
Hogarth, Reynolds, Gainsborough, Holbein, Dürer,
Theotokopolous, Goya, Picasso, Dali, Poussin, Fragonard. Corot,
Ingres, Daumier, Courbet, Pissarro, Robert, Degas, Cezanne,
Monet, Cassatt, Morisot, Renoir, Gauguin, Caillebotte,
Toulouse-Lautrec, Matisse, Homer, Sargent, Moses, O'Keeffe,
Wood, Rockwell, Pollock, Callo and Rivera. Lately I
regularly feel that old.
My goal is to express the joy I find in an appreciation of the
Creator’s beauty and share that joy with others through
visual and written artistry.
I most enjoy expressing the beauty of landscapes, still life
and portraits, using alkyds, pastel and charcoal for finished
works, but in a pinch, the medium is determined by the need.
